Graduate School
Time goes by so fast and lots has happened since I last posted. I worked as a .net developer while attending graduate school, until my new boss decided that he didn't want me to go to class. So, I quit. I started attending graduate school full time and finally got an offer to work as a TA. Since last fall, I have been teaching Computer Science 101 and I thoroughly enjoy it. I hope to graduate in December of this year with a Master's Degree in Science for Software Engineering (MSSE). Having a Master's Degree gives me an opportunity to teach at schools like Midlands Technical College and USC. Not sure where I'll end up after I graduate, but I like all the possibilities!
I am taking 1 class this summer. Although, I am getting a little burned out, I am really learning a lot. One more semester after this and I'll be officially a Software Engineer! =)

New Job!

AAS in Computer Technology
That's right! I graduated from Midlands Technical College yesterday. I am proud to say I graduated with high honors and a 4.0 GPA. Never in a million years did I think I would get a 4.0!
Because I already have a Bachelor's degree, I have applied to grad school at USC. I'll be taking one of the prereqs for it this summer, and that should tell me if I really want to pursue it: Intro to Software Engineering. I havent found a job yet, so this may be the way to go. But I can go anywhere from here. ;)

Spring Break 2014
No school this week but a full work week! Haven't had a chance to do much else.
I take the GRE on Tuesday and I'm starting to freak out a little. Will study today and Sunday. I am really looking foward to getting it over with.
Then I can wait for the decision from Grad school and figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life...

Python
Tomorrow there is a free Python workshop at USC. I'm looking forward to learning another language. Gotta get as much knowledge as I can before getting a "real job".

Still in school
Midlands Tech promises me that I can get anywhere from here. So I am still in school and graduating in May. Then we'll see if I can be anywhere but Columbia, SC. It's a nice town but I am ready to escape from here once again!
At the moment, I have no idea what I'll do after I graduate. I've applied to graduate school but I need to see what kind of job I could get. The quicker I'm working a "real job" the better.
I miss the film industry. Although I get to go on auditions every now and then, I am hoping that I may be able to return to film on the computer programming side of things. We'll see ...

Back to School
So, here I am. Still in SC. I've been on some auditions through my agent which have been fun. Unfortunately, they are few and far between. I also started working as a stagehand, which can be fun and good money, but again, those are few and far between.
I love my job, but it has always been viewed as temporary until I see what happens and where I should go and what I should do.
I decided to go back to school. Never thought I would. My goal is to spend the least amount of money, in order to make the most amount of money when I graduate. So, computer programming, here I am. I was looking into getting an applications programming certificate, and before I knew it, I was a registered student at Midlands Technical College with my sights set on getting an associates degree in computer programming.
Started my first semester 2 weeks ago. Even after transfering my college credits from before, I am basically a freshman. It's been slightly easy so far and even a little fun to be learning again. Looking forward to seeing how this semester turns out.
:)
