Well, it’s been a year since I’ve updated this blog. It’s been a tough year. My dad lost his battle with cancer last September and last November I moved in with my mom. It’s a little strange to be back home in Columbia, SC, but it’s also nice to be back.
The big question that bugs me every day is, now what am I gonna do. It’s not like working on films or tv shows is an option here.
So, I’ve headed back to LaLaLand for a month to work as much as possible. I decided to drive so that I’d be able to get around town easier, and I would be able to leave whenever I’d like. I left at the end of September and plan on going back around the end of Oct/beginning of Nov. There were times on my way out here that I felt that this was a totally crazy idea. But here I am and I have been working lots! So much, in fact, that I haven’t had a chance to do much else. Still have friends to visit and shopping to do!
Mostly I’ve been working as a casting assistant. My first day here, I got to work with my friend Chris as background on Men of a Certain Age. That was fun … until the temperature reached a record breaking 110! Well, it was still fun. Got to do some catching up with Chris when they weren’t using us.
So … now I’m back with my silly little blog. Will post more soon!
